Exporting pork meat to Japan (African Swine Fever)
Request: We are a company that buys pork from Italy and other European countries. On this occasion we should export pork from Italy to Japan. Has the Italian government declared the absence of African Swine Fever (ASF) in the country?
Development of the work: To answer this question, I had to check all the circulars related to this issue and try to create a roadmap of what had happened from a year and a half to when the request arrived. I looked at the Japanese import dynamics and whether there were any repercussions on the import of meat from Italy. At the end of the study I gave my feedback to the client.
